This is a group with an illustrious past and a bright future. Trace the winding paths
of Country, R&B and Rock & Roll and you’ll find them there along with their
contemporaries like Poco, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Commander Cody, Creedence
Clearwater Rival, New Riders, Pure Prairie League and many others. That’s home
turf for The Burrito Brothers. Country Rock’s big bang came in Los Angeles in the
late ‘60s. In 1968, Ian Dunlop and Barry Tashian started The Flying Burrito
Brothers. A year later with Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman aboard, the group
released their first LP, “The Gilded Palace of Sin”, a confirmed legendary classic
which is on the Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of Greatest Albums of All Time. The
band has continued to celebrate this musical legacy and serve up fresh contributions
to The Burrito Brothers incredible body of work. They’ve never fallen short of being
outstanding and they certainly are today.
