She has released some of Music City’s top singles of the past two decades such as “Deep Down” and “Maybe It Was Memphis,” but Pam Tillis’s latest musical adventure has everyone talking – in and out of Nashville!
“I’m too close to it to be objective,” the singer of her collaboration with up-and-coming R&B singer Kris Thomas, titled “Two Kings.” The 1994 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year told Billboard “I have to have people tell me if it’s any good or not.”
Tillis says what makes this song so exciting was that there wasn’t any major plan. It happened because of the power of the song. “We just put it out there, and didn’t really have an agenda. We just said ‘This song deserves to have life, so let’s just let the chips fall where they fall. We’ve just been going through the comments and thoughts from people. I hope this is a good way to get Kris’s voice exposed to people around the world. He’s such a great singer.”
