Years spent traveling, performing, and amassing impressive collections of both second-hand instruments and musical influences have led Texas-born guitarist Andrew Trube and native Angeleno keyboardist Anthony Farrell—better known as Greyhounds—to cultivate their own completely distinct and eclectic style. Placed by critics “somewhere between Broken Bells and Sam Cooke,” Greyhounds are pop-minded, but chock full of funk and grit, blending rock, soul, country and blues into a churning sound that’s equal parts raucous and soulful, yet undeniably smooth and tight.
